Kvitova is back in the world top ten! Krejcikova is also close to her. How are our tennis players doing after the WTA ranking update?

The WTA has updated the world rankings and the Czech flag is again in the top ten. This time it was brought here by Petra Kvitova, who has had a great success. How are the other tennis players doing?

Petra Kvitová is one of the legends of women’s tennis. However, even at the age of thirty-three, she cannot be classified as old hat, let alone written off. She proved it at the tournament in Miami, where she won her 30th career title.

A phenomenal feat that sent shockwaves around the tennis world. The Czech player received a lot of admiration. Legendary boxer Mike Tyson watched her win live. Moreover, she has entered the elite society as she is the tenth highest earning tennis personality in history in terms of prize money.

Now, in addition, the WTA rankings have been updated and Kvitova has re-entered the top ten, which she now completes. The last time she was in the top ten was in September 2021.

However, soon she might not be the only player from the Czech Republic in the world top ten. Barbora Krejcikova is on her way back to the top. The Moravian player improved one position and is now ranked 12th.

Karolína Plíšková is also near the top ten. Like Krejčíková, she has improved by one position and is now ranked 16th.

In the top 50 we can also find Maria Bouzkova, who is in 36th position, and Katerina Siniakova, who is in 48th position.

Karolína Muchová (52nd), Linda Nosková (54th), Linda Fruhvirtová (60th) and Markéta Vondroušová (83rd) are in the top 100.

It is worth mentioning that Siniakova is still the world number one in doubles, with her teammate Krejcikova right behind her.
