Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is undoubtedly one of Napoli’s biggest stars and probably the biggest discovery of the current football season.
It is therefore safe to assume that without him, the Partenopei would probably not be where they are at the moment.
That is, at the top of the Italian top flight. Napoli have already won 71 points in 27 games, with 11 games to play before the end of the current Serie A season. Lazio have a comfortable lead of 19 points over second-placed Lazio.
And as for the 22-year-old Georgian international’s current record? He has played 23 league games for Napoli so far, scoring twelve goals and assisting twelve more.
For his outstanding performances in Serie A, he was deservedly named Player of the Month for March by the Italian Football Federation (AIC).
Of all the twelve goals Kvaratskhelia has scored, at least two were really worth it. Especially the goal against Atalanta, which was named the best goal of March.
“This goal against Atalanta is another example of a goal with his signature. It is the work of a renowned artist whose style we are all learning about,” the Italian Football Federation wrote in its article about the award to the Georgian winger.
The Napoli offensive star has thus managed to do something no one has ever done before – to receive the Player of the Month award three times in one season. It should be added, he beat teammate Kim min-Son or Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, for example, in the nomination.
