The Czech national football team will play its last two matches in the Nations League group in September. On Saturday 24 September, Šilhavy’s charges will play against Portugal, and three days later the Czech national team will take on Switzerland at St. Gallen Stadium.
Currently, our players are third in Group 2, led by Spain with eight points ahead of Portugal (7), the Czech Republic (4) and Switzerland (3).
In the attached Twitter post below you can see all 20 names that are part of the line-up for the September matches for yourself.
As Coach Šilhavy said at the press conference, the Czech Republic will have a big boost in goal. Whether it’s Pavlenka, Stanek or Vaclik, all three have great form at the moment.
In defence, we see some very interesting names. Ondřej Kúdela will get an opportunity due to injuries to several defenders, but how coach Šilhavý will put the lineup together is of course a big question at the moment.
In the midfield there are Antonín Barák, Lukáš Masopust or Tomáš Souček, while Patrick Schick, Adam Hložek and Jan Kuchta will join the attack.
There are no complete newcomers in the team. Coach Šilhavy is planning to add three more players to the Czech roster.
