Lionel Messi will not continue at Barcelona! The news that Barcelona fans simply didn’t want to see has come true. This, of course, in turn, pleased all Real Madrid fans, including Toni Kroos.

Real Madrid fell back after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and slowly started to build a squad for the future years. In doing so, it set about rebuilding the Santiago Bernabéu. Of course, all of this has weakened the royal team considerably and it will probably take a few seasons to get back on the European throne.

That’s why Kroos is delighted by the fact that even Barcelona have been in a major crisis, which has been exacerbated by the departure of the Argentine superstar this summer.

“We’ll see how it all works out (Messi – PSG). The transfer might be good for us because our biggest rival has lost its best player,” the German midfielder told the Einfach mal luppen podcast about Messi’s departure to PSG.

The departure of Barcelona’s all-time top scorer may shuffle the cards elsewhere. Especially in Paris, where Kylian Mbappé is based. And it’s no secret that Real Madrid have been after the French striker for some time now.

“And because of that, maybe even better things will happen. Maybe he (Mbappé) will leave Paris and come to us. I don’t know if that’s going to happen now, but the whole Messi situation will certainly not be a disadvantage for us,” Kroos concluded by talking about this summer’s events.

The German midfielder at the service of the White Ballet was always frank in his interviews and did not shy away from any topic. That is why his words sound very promising to the Madrid fans.

However, it is very difficult to guess what will actually happen. Playing alongside Neymar and Messi is definitely a big attraction for Mbappé. But on the other hand, he is under pressure from the PSG management who want to keep their player at all costs.

Mbappé is only under contract until the end of next season and it is obvious that the wealthy Parisian club has the financial resources to afford to let their gem leave next year even for free.

But it is also possible that the management will put uncomfortable pressure on Mbappé throughout the season, which could affect his performances. So it will be very interesting to watch this whole affair, which could go many ways.
