Could it be that it’s slowly starting to settle in? Persija Jakarta finally got on a winning streak, and Michael Krmencik was especially instrumental in the last round. He scored with a shot from outside the box.

Michael Krmenčík went to Indonesia after his unsuccessful engagement in Slavia to take a break from the pressure and criticism he faced in his home country. However, even in Jakarta, the sun is not all shining yet.

Coming as a big player from Europe, he likened his style of play to Fernando Torres and to make matters worse, he celebrated a Cristiano Ronaldo-like goal in friendly matches. And he saved that celebration for his first league goal.

But in the league, Krmenčík is not exactly shining. He played six league games, one on the bench. He now has two goals scored. The second one came on Sunday, however, when he helped Persia to an important win.

Jakarta actually played against Arema on Sunday and won 1: 0. Krmencik scored in the 44th minute with a shot from outside the box.

It is worth mentioning that ex-Slav players Ondrej Kudel and Yusuf Hilal also played in the match. Kúdela traditionally played in the centre of defence, Hilál alongside Krmenčík in attack. Only Krmenčík did not play the whole game.

Persija is fifth after seven rounds with 14 points. They are currently four points behind Borneo, the league table leader.
