Barbora Krejčíková last appeared on the tennis courts in February, due to injury she did not participate in the tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami. When should she return?
The Moravian tennis player last appeared in February at the Doha tournament. However, she is currently recovering from an injured elbow that prevents her from taking part in any tournament.
The French Open, the second Grand Slam of the season, starts in mid-May. In France, Barbora Krejcikova will defend her singles and doubles titles.
“I hope it looks good. My injury is getting better, I’m happy for that. Ijust don’t know exactly when I will start playing,” said the world number four in an interview with Hitrádio City Brno.
Krejcikova admitted that her injury now needs more time to heal, so that her hand is 100% fine and the injury does not come back.
“I believe that I will make the French Open, that I will start playing even earlier,” the Olympic champion from Tokyo reassured her fans.
The native of Brno has played 13 singles matches this season with a positive record of 9 wins and 4 losses. At the Australian Open she reached the quarterfinals in singles, but she dominated the doubles with Katerina Siniakova.
