Czech tennis player Barbora Krejcikova became the Czech number one for the first time in her career. She improved to third place in the WTA rankings and reached her career high.
Krejčíková replaced her national teammate Karolina Pliskova in the updated ranking. She has now dropped to fourth place, just 13 points behind Krejcikova.
Nothing has changed in the lead. The WTA ranking is still dominated by Australian Ashleigh Barty with a great lead of 1551 points over second-placed Sabalenka from Belarus.
As for the other Czech tennis players, Petra Kvitova still made it into the top 20, but she dropped two places to 19th position.
There are four more tennis players in the top 50, namely Muchová, Vondroušová, Martincová and Bouzkova. Only the latter two players have moved up the rankings.
The women’s doubles ranking is also looking good. Here, Katerina Siniakova moved up to second place, just 25 points behind the leader, while her doubles teammate Krejcikova moved up to third.
As for the men, there is only one representation in the top 100. That is Jiri Vesely, who is currently ranked 86th, down from 78th. The top spot is still held by Novak Djokovic.
