Barbora Krejčíková has not played since the end of February, when she played in Doha, due to an elbow injury. She is expected to return to the courts during the clay spring.

Iga Šwiatek remains the world number one. The 20-year-old Pole overcame fourth-ranked Aryna Sabalenka in the Stuttgart final to consolidate her position at the top of the rankings.
Karolina Pliskova retained her seventh position for a change. All our other players are already outside the top ten of the rankings.
Petra Kvitova, who did not beat Pliskova in Germany, dropped from 28th to 30th place. Two positions behind her is Markéta Vondroušová, and Tereza Martincová is 49th.
