Kozma on UFC: I’m doing well in the Octagon, I’m one of the stars, I’d be almost nothing there

David Kozma defended the Octagon Welterweight title in November, and given his form and performance, he is being talked about as one of the candidates for a move to the UFC’s world organization. What did the Pink Panther have to say about it?
David Kozma has developed into one of the biggest stars in the Octagon organization, the Pink Panther has won all 9 of his fights in the organization and is deservedly the longest reigning champion of the organization.
He has won 10 of his 11 fights since defeating Peter Knight in December 2017, only being defeated by Roman Mukhamedshin in the RCC.
He has been proving his quality especially recently and would certainly deserve a career move, perhaps even to the UFC. But the Octagon champion is not thinking about that at the moment.
“If they contacted me? I don’t know, but probably not, because that’s what my manager Pavel Touš would tell me. Would I take it? It would depend on the conditions. I’m doing well in OKTAGON. I’m one of the main stars, which suits me.
If I go to the UFC, I’m almost nothing there. It would really depend a lot on the conditions, how much money they would offer and stuff like that. I’d have to weigh it all up in my head and think it through properly,” he said on his YouTube channel.
In the past, he also added that he would not leave his current organisation even if there was a better offer, for example from the RFA. Kozma is now starting to prepare for his next fight, with his opponent likely to be Kniz, whom he plans to avenge his earlier defeat.
