Kolar’s mistake? The ball went through the partitioned wall, that’s reprehensible, says Trpišovský

The Sešiovans knew very well that in the first half in De Kuip Arena they were going to be in hell. And that was confirmed. Feyenoord took the lead in the 9th minute, hit the crossbar moments later, every break, especially Sinisterra’s, was hugely dangerous.
But Slavia gradually matched the pace and equalised before half-time, although the goal should not have stood due to an offside. This made the Feyenoord players very angry and they started to concentrate on protesting rather than playing the game and the Seychellois took advantage of it.
They were the better team in the second half and deservedly scored the leading goal to make it 2:1. However, the lead didn’t last long, which made it all the more unfortunate what goals the Red and Whites conceded. On the goal at 2::2 Bah was slightly pushed on the whitewash and stopped playing, the subsequent lofted centre was pushed into the net by stopper Senesi with his chest.
Even more stupid was the goal at 3::2 for the home team. The tired Schranz didn’t have to foul Pedersen at all, as the ball was already going into the net anyway. Ondrej Kolar set up Ibrahim Traoré and Yira Sor in the wall, but they didn’t meet the basic rule.
In the wall, the players must stand and get hit. But they both spread out, which Kokcu noticed and shot the ball through the wall into the net. Admittedly, Kolar’s tackle afterwards also looked very clumsy and probably required a quicker reaction. But the initial problem is in the wall.
The parted wall
“As for the third goal, especially the standard goal was completely unnecessary, the ball went into the back of the net, we made an unnecessary foul. And when I talked to the boys, the wall was parted. I have to look at the footage, we knew how Kokcu kicked it, Ondra told me that he put one more player in front of the bar, but it still went past,” Trpišovský told the club website.
“We shouldn’t have got such a goal and from such a position, it’s very unfortunate at the end of the match. But again, if the ball went through the wall, we have to evaluate it, if it happened, it’s reprehensible. Moreover, it was punished… I don’t dare to judge the goalkeeper’s tackle now, until I see it on camera,” the Slavia coach added.
Fortunately, Slavia managed to equalize at 3:3 when Traoré scored with his heel. This time the Sevilla team did not punish these mistakes completely, but next time they could be very costly.
