It may only be April, but there are already several candidates for the best KO of 2022 in combat sports. Another candidate emerged over the weekend in London, where the Muay Thai Grand Prix tournament was held.
London’s O2 Arena has another big event behind it. Following the recent UFC tournament, the arena hosted a tournament under the Muay Thai Grand Prix banner. The tournament also featured the talented fighter Said Kabil, who put on a great show.
Kabil took on Gary Corbett, whom he literally destroyed with an incredible and truly unseen combination.
Kabil committed to the axe kick, a type of kick that few people commit to in wrestling. However, in this case, the risk paid off. The kick was hit fantastically and shook the opponent.
Corbett then finished the talented fighter with more punches before the referee could intervene.
It’s no wonder this is a KO of the Year candidate.
Plus, Kabil hasn’t fought in two years due to a coronavirus, so this is a really successful comeback to the scene. He also showed his opponent respect after winning.
