Jan Kliment decided to leave for Poland after a successful season in Slovácko. However, he is struggling in the jersey of Wisla Krakow. On Thursday night, however, he scored two goals to send his team to the quarter-finals of the cup competition.
Last season was very successful for Slovácko. A big part of it was played by striker Jan Kliment, who had probably his first really successful engagement in Uherské Hradiště.
He played 33 games for the Moravian team last season with a record of 13 goals and 5 assists. He was one of the key players, the team relied on him.
Unfortunately, he decided to leave and went to Poland, specifically to Wisla Krakow. But was it a successful move? So far, it certainly doesn’t look like it.
In 15 competitive games, the Jihlava native has scored only 4 goals, and assisted on 2 others. Two of the four goals he scored on Thursday helped his team to the quarter-finals of the Polish Cup.
One Kliment goal in particular is worth mentioning. He scored from almost half the field in stoppage time of the second act. Although it was into an empty net, it was still an impressive feat.
As far as Kliment’s shooting woes are concerned, even with four goals he is his team’s third top scorer. Only two of his teammates are doing better than him. Otherwise, Wisla is struggling to score, but it’s not doing so well either.
They are only 13th in the league, with 17 points after 16 rounds and an unflattering 16:27 record.
