Lajos Klein won his second fight in the UFC and his streak is now 2-2. With his latest win, he has earned himself a new contract. How long will it last and will it make him more money?
Twenty-seven year old Lajos Klein defeated Shane Young in his UFC debut, but then left twice defeated and facing his last fight.
If he hadn’t won it, he would have had a hard time getting a new contract. But that didn’t happen, Klein defeated Devonte Smith and his UFC streak is now 2-2.
Overall though, 18::4 and it was likely that the UFC would want to keep him. That’s what happened and Klein was offered a new contract.
“We’re waiting on a specific contract with the team, but I’m confirmed to get a four-fight deal. We’re just waiting for the signature,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
As it happens, the first contract is always basic and fighters don’t earn big money. However, this changes with the renewal and it is no different for the Slovakian fighter.
“Yes, it will be better, the first contract was a beginner contract, there were basic salaries, the second one will be more interesting, but I didn’t care about money, I wanted to fight in the UFC. I didn‘t care about the money,” he added.
