Klein after UFC draw: I’m sorry for the first round, which I messed up the most, but despite that I enjoyed this fight immensely!

The UFC 286 tournament in London also offered us a fight of a former Oktagon fighter, who is none other than Ludovít Klein. Unfortunately, he didn’t celebrate his third win in a row and had to settle for a draw in the end. What did he say after the tournament?

Ludovít Klein scored his third match in a row without a loss! However, he can’t be happy about his third win in a row, as Jai Herbert was more than a match for him. The first Slovakian fighter in the UFC did not live up to his role as a favourite.

Klein started the fight a little better in the first round. In the second minute, he beautifully caught a kick that was aimed at his ribs and delivered a successful takedown. But Herbert is great at Brazilian jiu-jitsu and it showed.

Klein looked a little better in the second round, which was evenly matched. He held the center of the octagon, was more accurate, more active, and although he didn’t get Herbert in any great trouble, he was more dangerous.

The third round was up and down for a change. Klein was initially more active, more creative and landed the better shots, trying to surprise Herbert a few times. But in the second half of the round, Herbert took Klein down. He didn’t give up though, he was able to get up and deliver a takedown himself.

The fight went to the points, the judges then called it a draw. Klein was fortunate in that his opponent was deducted two points for a punch to the groin, otherwise he would now have a defeat on his record.

As a result, he is currently on a streak of three wins, two losses and one draw in the UFC. What message does one of the best Slovakian MMA fighters have for his fans?

“So I’m bringing a draw from London for the second time. I’m sorry for the first round, which I messed up the most, but despite that I enjoyed this fight immensely!

I’m glad that the things we practiced worked out, but there are other things we need to work on. Of course, that’s the beauty of this sport. There is always something to learn and improve on,” he wrote on Instagram.
