  • Kingsley Coman has decided to leave Bayern Munich before the end of the summer transfer window
  • English Premier League clubs are interested in his services
  • Kingsley Coman’s highlight at Bayern was a goal in the 2020 Champions League final

Kingsley Coman, the French winger of Bayern Munich, has decided to leave the famous Bavarian club after several years. This news comes shortly before the transfer window closes, which means that his transfer could take place in the coming days. The information about his departure was reported by French daily L’Equipe.

Coman, who joined Bayern in 2015 (initially on a two-year loan), is one of the highest paid players in the team. His departure could therefore significantly affect the club’s financial budget while opening the door for new signings.

The Frenchman had injury problems last season. As a result, he only played in 17 league games, in which he scored three goals and added three assists.

In the opening Bundesliga match against VfL Wolfsburg, Coman started on the substitutes’ bench and only took the field in the 75th minute when he replaced Bayern’s new signing Michael Olise. Bayern eventually won 3-2, but Coman’s limited playing time suggests that the speculation about his departure is true.

Although it is not yet clear where Coman could be headed, clubs from the English Premier League have reportedly expressed interest in him. Coman’s speed, technique and ability to referee games would be a welcome asset to any team in England’s top competition.

Coman won eight titles with Bayern

Coman achieved many successes during his time at Bayern. He won eight championship titles with the team and played a total of 296 matches in which he scored 64 goals and added 66 assists.

A memorable moment of his career was his goal in the 2020 Champions League final, when his strike decided Bayern’s 1-0 victory over PSG.

If Coman does indeed decide to leave Bayern, it will mark the end of an era for the Bavarian club. Bayern will have to quickly find a replacement for one of their key players, while Coman can move on to meet new challenges.
