Kincl evaluated Kozma’s fight: Siwiec could have won. Who does he think is the favourite after the first round of Tipsport Gamechanger?

Oktagon has had the biggest tournament in its history and it was an incredible spectacle. Several favorites fell and even the biggest one was far from it. David Kozma. The darling of the home crowd.

The Pink Panther was in Ostrava in the main event and his opponent was Polish fighter Lukasz Siwiec, who should have been the clear underdog. Kozma himself warned before the fight that it was definitely not as easy a bite for him as the odds suggested.

And in the fight it really showed. Siwiec put on an excellent performance, being dangerous for the entire three rounds, allowing Kozma virtually nothing, even when the home fighter got into a dominant position on the ground.

The third round then offered an infarct moment when Siwiec got on Kozma’s back, locked in a body lock and applied a rear-naked choke. Silence reigned in the arena and thousands of spectators were on edge. But the Pink Panther fought back and got out of a difficult situation.

When it came to the announcement of the winner, it was drama. Kozma did win, but only with two judges. One saw Siwiec win and it was no wonder. If a Polish fighter had won, no one would have been surprised.

Kincl was worried about Kozma. Who is the favourite of the Gamechanger?

“A quick comeback after a tough fight with Kaiko Brito, I knew about his health problems and let’s add the pressure of a big favourite. Avery close fight from my point of view that could have easily gone the other way,” Kincl let his voice be heard on Instagram.

“Lohoré would probably beat David in Ostrava, but the next date will be a different story. Brito is history, David will finish his nagging injury and there won’t be so much pressure on him. The ideal combination for success,” he is clear.

Kincl concluded his comments by revealing that he sees Bojan Velickovic as the favourite of the entire pyramid after the first round. He defeated Ion Surdu and now Christian Jungwirth awaits him.
