Rising UFC star Khamzat Chimaev is especially known for training harder than most other fighters. But few know that he’s also involved in charity events.
Chimaev trains with Darren Till in addition to Penaze
Khamzat Chimaev, who has recently skyrocketed to stardom within the UFC organization, really doesn’t get bored. Not only does he spend most of his time training MMA, which is time consuming at such a high level, he also makes time for charity events.
Khamzat posted a video on his YouTube channel of training at the Allstar Training Center in Stockohlm, where another world-renowned UFC fighter Darren Till is currently training alongside Matej Peñaz.
As we recently informed you, Matej “Money” Peñaz has all the stars around him in Sweden for his training sessions. In addition to Khamzat Chimaev or Alexander Gustafsson, English fighter Darren Till is currently in the Stockholm gym.
In addition to hard training, the gym is also a great place to have fun
But his current sparring partner Chimaev is not giving him anything for free and Till is a frequent target of ridicule due to his subtle physique. But everything is friendly and everyone in the gym works really hard. “Come on, don’t stop fatty,” Chimaev teases the former title challenger during one of the training sessions.
In another video posted by the “Chechen Wolf” on his YouTube channel, we can see longer footage from the training session. From 3:08 onwards, there are a few shots of the Czech fighter Matej Peñaz, who gets a chance to taste the legendary power of Chimaev for himself.
Chimaev and Till help the Swedish homeless
In the second half of the video, Reza Madadi, another former UFC fighter who trains at the famous gym, approaches Till with an offer of a charity event. This is because he and Khamzat help the homeless in Stockholm after the training sessions, distributing food and drinks to them. Darren Till accepts the offer without a second thought and gets involved.
But when Till is holding a box of pastries at Stockholm station, Khamsaev again doesn’t hesitate to poke him with a remark about the Englishman’s excess weight. “Don’t you eat them,” Khamzat tells Till. “It was not a good idea to give him the box,” he adds with a smile.
Chimaev is best known for his tough guy mask, which he backs up with statements about knocking out the biggest names in the UFC, and not just in his weight class. But at the end of the video, we can see that underneath the mask of steel is an empathetic man who can empathize with the homelessness of the people of Stockholm.
“It’s not right for people to be homeless. Maybe these people have family somewhere that could help, but that’s not the case,” he expressed pity for the homeless. ” I hope that at least tonight they have eaten and will sleep a little better,” he concluded.
