Kazakhstan vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina: Preview and betting tips
Bosnia and Herzegovina will face an important match in the fight for the World Cup on Friday. If it wants to think about the barrier, it must win on the soil of Kazakhstan. That seems like a given, but the eastern selection has already beaten Bosnia once this year and drawn twice with Ukraine.
Kazakhstan is satisfied so far. They are last in the table but only two points behind second place. As an outsider in the group, it has already won three draws, one of them against Bosnia. The chances for the barrage are still alive, but they need to score on Friday.
Bosnia are on the same points, but have one game in hand. If they want to realistically think about the barrage, they have to beat the weakest team in the group. After that, they have a six-point match against Ukraine.
Kazakhstan is led by CSKA Moscow midfielder Baktiyar Zaynutdinov, who has scored two goals and assisted once in his last five games. Ruslan Valiullin and Abat Aymbetov have also scored twice in the near past.
Striker Edin Džeko has lost form in the national jersey, scoring only two goals in his last eight games. Central midfielder Miralem Pjanic has two more goals, but he was recently injured.
Kazakhstan are struggling defensively, having not kept a clean sheet in their last eight games.
Bosnia are again struggling up front, scoring more than one goal in only one of their last seven games.
Given the excellent shooting form of Edin Džeko in the Inter jersey and the quality of the visiting squad, I think Bosnia will win.
