Karolina Muchova vs. Mona Barthel: Preview and betting tips

We are only in the second round of the Australian Open and already we have had some big surprises. Karolína Muchová will definitely want to avoid a surprise result in her match against Mona Barthel. How will she do and what to bet on?

In the first round of the Australian Open, Karolina Muchova scored a valuable scalp when she managed to defeat former French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko in two sets. The first set was a great battle, but the Olomouc native dominated the second.

Now she will face a much easier opponent. That will be Germany’s Mona Barthel, who fought her way through the first round over Elisabetta Cocciaretta in a three-set battle (3::6, 6::4, 6::4).

Muchova will go into the match as the clear favourite, but she must not underestimate anything. She certainly won’t want to end up like compatriot Petra Kvitova, who surprisingly fell to a player who was far behind her in the WTA rankings.

So what to bet on? Two sets should be enough for Muchova to win, and betting on the exact result pays off a bit more. A bet on games or sets won can be a similarly valuable alternative.
