Karolina Muchova has cancelled her participation at the Australian Open

Another Czech tennis player was forced to cancel her participation in the Australian Open due to health problems. After Karolina Pliskova, Karolína Muchová had to do so.

Karolína Muchová wanted to show her face at the first Grand Slam of the season after her injury. However, unfortunately, it will not happen. Muchová still has not healed her injury and was forced to cancel her participation in Australia.

“I’m sorry that I won’t be starting the 2022 season in Australia. I am doing everything I can to be fit and back on the court as soon as possible,” the Olomouc native announced on social media.

Muchová has been plagued by prolonged abdominal muscle problems since the last Australian Open. She managed to recover during the year, but the problems started at the end of the summer and have lasted until now.

Although she did not specify her health problem in her announcement, it is expected to be a persistent problem with her abdominal muscle.

In addition to Muchova, Karolina Pliskova will not travel to Australia. She injured her hand at a training camp in Spain and had to withdraw from the tournament.
