Karlos Vémola is recovering from the surgery that forced him to miss his favourite tournament in Štvanice. Now he is looking forward to the end of the year, when he would like to play for the title against Pirate. But what is his current state of health?
Karlos Vémola was supposed to fight Marcin Naruszczka for the title in the 84 kg weight class in the Oktagon 26 tournament.
However, after a series of injuries, surgery had to follow and the Pirate stepped in to take the interim title instead. How does Vémol’s health look now?
“I had a check-up today and they’ve already taken my purse off. Unfortunately, they haven’t taken the cast off yet because they know how I am, that I would fly right away, so they left the cast on until next week when they will take the stitches out,” said Vemola on his Fight Live profile.
“Depending on how it looks, they will decide when they will operate again. The sooner they operate on me, the better. The sooner Icome back,” he added.
Vémola wants to be fit by the end of the year, as he is scheduled to face Pirate for the title at Octagon 30. If he doesn’t make it, the Slovak will face someone else, or he will have a full title shot.
However, due to another surgery, it’s hard to predict if we’ll even see that fight in 2021.
