England played Ukraine in the quarter-finals of the European Championship and went on to win 4-0. Harry Kane scored two goals, Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson also scored. Albion face Denmark in the semi-finals.

The goal came from the first chance of the game. After a pass from Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane had a great chance and slipped the ball into the net. On the other side, Roman Yaremchuk tried to get a shot away, but Jordan Pickford made the save.

England were not too entertained from the goal onwards, chances were minimal and it wasn’t until the 29th minute that Kane headed but unsuccessfully. Four minutes later, Declan Rice fired from distance, but Heorhiy Bushchan cleared his shot.

That was the last chance of the first half and England went into the box with a 1-0 lead.

The second half opened with England’s second goal. Harry Maguire scored after a Luke Shaw centre. And in the 51st minute, it was all over. Shaw again found Harry, this time Kane, who sent the ball between the goalkeeper’s legs with a header.

Kane was on his toes for a hat-trick in the 62nd minute, but Bushchan made an excellent save. However, from the ensuing corner the goal was already there, Jordan Henderson again with a header.

The Ukrainians then tried to at least reduce the deficit, but the calm English defended well and enjoyed the match. A 4:0 win takes them into the semi-finals, where Denmark will await them.
