The speculation was confirmed. Experienced English striker Harry Kane is changing to Bayern Munich, with whom he will have the highest goals. The clubs officially announced this on their social media and websites.

When Harry Kane is mentioned, most fans associate him with Spurs. Not to be, the now 30-year-old striker arrived at Tottenham before the 2013/14 season and has been scoring goal after goal for the second season.

Kane is undoubtedly one of the club’s legends and when the offer from Bayern came in, he had to make a proper decision on whether to accept it. In the end, however, all parties came to an agreement and the clubs officially announced the transfer this morning.

The England international has signed a contract with the Bavarian club until 30 June 2027 and, like a proper striker, will wear the number 9 jersey.

“Welcome to Munich, Harry! We are very happy about this quality addition. The transfer required perseverance and persistence – my compliments to everyone involved in these negotiations at FC Bayern.

Led by our CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen. Harry Kane will not only strengthen FC Bayern, but will also be a real asset for the entire Bundesliga,” Bayern President Herbert Hainer told the club’s website.

The player himself also had his say, and fans are definitely curious to see if he will be a regular in the Bundesliga. “I am very happy to be part of FC Bayern now.

It is one of the biggest clubs in the world and I have always said that I want to play at the highest level during my career. This club is defined by its winning mentality – it’s a very good feeling to be here,” he said.

Kane’s contract at Spurs ends next summer, but even so, owner Levy has demanded 100 million pounds (about 2.8 billion crowns) for him. That amount seemed too much for Bayern, but in the end Tottenham’s demands were met.
