Kane as Mbappé? Tottenham wasting time, club running out of patience: punishment for journalist for provocation, ultimatum for captain

Tottenham have already started preparations for the new season, however, they have to deal with a complication. Captain and club legend Harry Kane is only under contract until next summer. There is interest in the player, he again has to choose between success and loyalty. The club is running out of time and patience.

Harry Kane is one of the best strikers of his generation. A player of his calibre deserves a trophy. But at Tottenham, it’s a trophy he can’t wait to win. That’s why every summer there is speculation about his future and this year is no different.

A world-class cannonballer would be a good fit for the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich. Bayern, in particular, has made no secret of its interest and has already sent three official offers, and there has even been a meeting with the club’s management.

Tottenham, however, refuses the sale. So far. But it’s coming under pressure. Kane is only under contract for one year. If he doesn’t renew, he could leave for free next summer, which nobody wants. And Spurs are getting out of hand? It’s becoming more than obvious.

It’s not helped by the media. For example, a reporter for Germany’s Bild arrived at a Tottenham press conference wearing a Bayern Munich jersey with the English striker’s name tag. This has outraged coach Ange Postecoglou. “Hopefully it was worth it,” was his reaction.

It was no surprise when said reporter lost his accreditation. And punishment could soon come for the Spurs idol as well. Kane is currently in a similar position to PSG’s Kylian Mbappé. According to The Telegraph, he has to sign a new contract or he will be sold.

Although the club chairman Daniel Levy refuses to sell, the club’s owner Joe Lewis has intervened in the matter and has decided to present the English marksman with a clear ultimatum.

Manchester United were due to make a £100m offer to Tottenham in the summer, Bayern did not go that high with their bid. PSG may still be involved because of Mbappe.
