Kamara (again) racially offended? The Finnish federation has already lodged a complaint with UEFA against the Montenegro player
It has not even been a year and a half since the incident between Glen Kamara and Ondrej Kúdelá. The Slavia stopper was supposed to have racially assaulted the Finnish midfielder during the Europa League match against Rangers FC, but it was never proven. Kamara also complained about the reference to his skin colour after Monday’s Nations League match.

Finland’s match against Montenegro was a clash for salvation in Performance Group B. A 2-0 win gave the Northerners certainty, with relegation eventually going to the home side thanks to a better scoreline. A 4: 1 win was not enough for Romania, with the same number of points Montenegro still had two goals better.
The match was quite heated, already in the 17th minute the home team went shorthanded after a direct red card. The Finns tried to make the game uncomfortable, they were very tough. And maybe not only in terms of tackles, but also in terms of communication with the Finns.
During the game one of the Montenegrin players was supposed to racially insult Glen Kamara. It is not known which one, but the Finnish Football Federation itself issued a statement complaining about the insinuations about Kamara’s skin colour.
“According to the Finnish Football Federation, UEFA has launched an investigation into alleged racism by a Montenegro player towards Glen Kamara during their Nations League match,” reads a tweet from Sky Sports.
Kamara has already been dragged into one racism case by UEFA, but the case involving Ondrej Kudel has not yet been investigated and nothing has been proven against the Czech defender. Despite this, he was given a 10-match suspension under UEFA auspices, thus missing out on last year’s European Championship.
But at the same time, Kamara let it be known in an interview with Sky Sports that if he was racially abused again during a match in the future, he would leave the field of play immediately. However, he played Monday’s match until the final whistle.
