Champions League
Juventus vs. PSG: Preview and betting tips
After the groups were drawn, probably few expected Juventus to fight to play at least in the Europa League in the last round of the autumn season. But that is the case and the Old Lady should score at home against PSG, otherwise they will have to rely on Benfica Lisbon against Maccabi Haifa.
After the groups were drawn, probably few expected Juventus to fight to play at least in the Europa League in the last round of the autumn season. But that is the case and the Old Lady should score at home against PSG, otherwise they will have to rely on Benfica Lisbon against Maccabi Haifa.
Juventus are having a season of horror so far. In the Champions League, it has a shameful three points after three rounds and is only six goals ahead of fourth-placed Maccabi Haifa in the standings, and it is only seventh in Serie A, five points clear of second-placed Atalanta.
Paris will also battle with Benfica for top spot on points. Both teams have the same number of points before the last round, but the Portuguese club is four goals behind. In Ligue 1, PSG are first by five points, with Lens second.
Weston McKennie is the mainstay of the home side, the agile American midfielder has three goals and one assist. Dusan Vlahovic also stands out from Juventus’ misery, with the Serbian striker scoring eight times and assisting once.
The ageless Argentine legend Lionel Messi has so far opened the net twelve times and assisted thirteen times. His partnership with Kylian Mbappé has worked well, with the French speedster scoring seventeen times and assisting four goals.
It’s not scoring for Juventus so far. It has scored more than once in only two of its last six games, and of the Serie A top 8, only AS Roma has a worse offensive record.
Paris, on the other hand, have a great attack. It has it sovereignly the best in Ligue 1, through all competitions it keeps the average just under three goals scored per game.
Considering the form of the Messi, Mbappé duo and the terrible atmosphere in the old lady’s squad, I think the visitors will win.
