Juventus vs. Lecce: Preview and betting tips

No Champions League on Tuesday, but at least Serie A is on the schedule. Juventus will welcome surprise table neighbours Lecce in the sixth round, what to expect from the game and what to bet on?

Juventus may have faltered at Sassuolo at the weekend, but it was the first league defeat of a good season so far. The Old Lady are in fourth place, just two points behind second-placed AC Milan.

Lecce are enjoying their start to the season, it almost couldn’t be better for the small Italian club. Three wins and two draws from five rounds – 11 points gained means third place in the table. It has a three-point lead on the eighth place without cups.

Juventus’ key figures

The Old Lady relies on a striking offensive double tooth. Dusan Vlahovic has scored four times and assisted once from the top of the attack, and Federico Chiesa has an identical record, playing just one more minute.

Lecce key players

Having opened the Slovak league with two goals for Dunajská Strad, Montenegrin striker Nikola Krstovic is now shining in Italy. He managed to score three times. The talented Swedish winger Pontus Almqvist is on two goals and one assist.

Juventus have found themselves mainly towards the attack after a weaker season last year. It has scored more than once in four of the five rounds of Serie A, with only the league’s top team, Inter Milan, having a better offense than the Old Lady.

Lecce, on the other hand, are not very dangerous offensively, with eight goals scored, they have the worst attack of the first half of the Serie A table. It has scored more than once, including in preparation, in only three of the last seven games.

Considering the different shooting form of the two offensives, the strength of Juventus at home, the different overall quality of the two rosters and the form of Juve’s offensive duo, I think the Turin side can win.
