Juventus vs. FC Torino: Preview and betting tips
A poor Friday football programme will feature the Turin derby between Juventus and FC Torino. The home side would like to stay in the Top 4, but they need a win to do so. What to expect from this tense match?
A poor Friday football programme will feature the Turin derby between Juventus and FC Torino. The home side would like to stay in the Top 4, but they need a win to do so. What to expect from this tense match?
Despite two draws in the last three rounds, Juventus are still in fourth place in the table, having only saved a draw with Atalanta in stoppage time a week ago. However, they are only four points ahead of sixth-placed Lazio.
FC Torino have taken one point from their last three games to deny themselves the chance to play for European Cups. They are tenth in the table and eight points behind seventh-placed AS Roma. However, given the pre-season goals, it is still a very respectable position.
Juventus brought in one of the biggest talents of the moment in the winter, Dusan Vlahovic has eighteen league goals and four assists. Teammate Paulo Dybala has scored seven times and added five assists.
Tommaso Pobega is doing well for Torino. The midfielder, who is visiting from AC Milan, has scored five league goals (4+1). Paraguayan striker Antonio Sanabria has scored five times and assisted twice.
Juventus relies on an offensive scoring attack, scoring at least two goals in four of the last six games.
FC Torino, on the other hand, boasts a well-functioning defence. David Zima and co. have only conceded twenty-six goals, with only Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus doing better.
With Juventus’ offensive performance improving after Vlahovic’s arrival, I expect the home side to win and score at least two goals.
