Juventus have struggled since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure. Although it won 3-0 against Malmö in the Champions League, it has only two wins from the first six rounds in the league and is only ninth in the table with seven points.
Chelsea, on the other hand, lost for the first time this season. Nevertheless, it is third in the league, just a point behind first-placed Liverpool. It began its Champions League defence with a narrow 1-0 win over Zenit St Petersburg.
Cristiano Ronaldo should be replaced by Paulo Dybala, Federico Chiesa. The former has scored five goals so far (3+2), while the latter has been coming off the bench after an injury and has scored only one goal.
Chelsea have relied on goals from summer signing Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian striker has scored once in the Champions League and three times in the Premier League. Marcos Alonso has also been in good form since the start of the season, scoring one goal and assisting once so far.
Juventus have struggled especially in defence, keeping a clean sheet only once since the start of the season.
Chelsea seem to have run out of ammunition after the holiday break, scoring more than one goal in only two of their five games.
Given the breadth of Chelsea’s squad and their well-functioning defence, I recommend a bet on them to win.
