The Czechs took the lead in the first minute. Vladimír Coufal found Ladislav Krejčí with a long pass, who split the net with his head. A minute later David Jurásek fed the ball to Tomáš Čvančar, who had an easy job.
The Poles did not score until the 20th minute, when Piotr Zielinski scored from a volley. Jiří Pavlenka made a good save. After a good start, the match lost its pace, but it was not enough for the visitors to lose by two goals.
In the 41st minute Karol Linetty tried his luck from distance, but Pavlenka made an excellent acrobatic save. Cvančara could have given the Czechs an insurance in the setup, but he didn’t get the ball into the net twice.
After the change of sides, Robert Lewandowski threatened for the first time, but Pavlenka was again ready to intervene. In the 61st minute, Cvančara failed for the second time in a big chance, this time he was tackled by defenders and his shot was weak.
Three minutes later, the Czechs were celebrating. Alex Král gave a gift to Jan Kuchta, who did not hesitate in front of the goalkeeper. The offensive concert continued in the 75th minute, a quick counter was inaccurately finished by Adam Hložek.
In the 87th minute, Damian Szymanski reduced the score to 1:3 in an unclear situation, but the Poles could do no more. With the 3:1 win, the Czechs were in the perfect mood for their match against Moldova on Monday.
