Jurásek: My agent predicted my national team in two years. I didn’t believe it at all

David Jurásek writes an interesting story. They let him go from Brno as a useless player for free, he made it to the national team in 2 and a half years. He didn’t believe it at the time.
Jurásek got a glimpse of adult football in Brno, where he also passed through the youth categories. In the 2019/20 season, he played 6 games for Zbrojovka’s A team and went to Prostějov for the next season.
There he was great, he played in 25 games and scored 3 goals. He moved up a level and was selected by Mladá Boleslav in the Fortuna League. But he didn’t stay with the Central Bohemians for long either.
In the autumn of last season he played 15 great games and moved to Prague, bought out by Slavia.
There, he almost immediately worked his way into the starting line-up, and although he fought for a place with Oscar for some time, after the Liberian versatile moved to the midfield he consolidated his position and is currently practically never off the pitch.
To his great performance he added 2 goals and 8 assists, and so came the biggest honour. An invitation to the senior national team. This is exactly what his agent Martin Krob predicted, but Jurásek didn’t want to believe it.
“When I transferred from Prostějov to Boleslav, we talked with my manager Mr. Krob about my goals for the future. He said that he sees the national team in two years, and at that moment I didn’t really believe him. It turned out that I still made it, but personally I didn’t believe it at all at the time,” Jurásek says at his first reunion.
“I was surprised by the nomination, I found out from Mr. Tvrdík the day before the nomination, but until it was official from the national team, I didn’t give it much weight. But I was surprised and pleasantly so,” says the 22-year-old left-back.
And with the current situation, he has a great chance to fight for the base. The Czech national team does not have a permanent player at left back and Jurásek will face Jaroslav Zelený in the current squad.
The latter will probably get priority against Poland because of his greater experience, but if Jurásek is given space in the match against Moldova and impresses, he can gradually take over the left-back position that experts attribute to him for the next few years.
