Jurásek has potential for the starting lineup, says Trpišovský. You want a stopper?

Slavia will play Raków Częstochowa on Thursday in the rematch and will make up for the one-goal loss. The question mark is hanging on several positions, something that Jindřich Trpišovský outlined at the press conference.
In the first game in Poland, Oscar Dorley started at left-back and was in charge of the opponent’s biggest star, Ivi López. The 28-year-old scored the first goal of the match.
In the 40th minute, Oscar had to make a substitution and missed the weekend match against Pardubice. He didn’t train during the week, but eventually joined the team.
“There will be at least one player from the long-term sick list. We will see how we will use him. Wemanaged to heal a minor injury with Oscar, he is in training and will be ready for Thursday,” Trpišovský said at the press conference.
But it probably won’t be for the starting line-up. David Jurásek, who has been performing well in the league, is grinding his teeth for the job. He scored two goals against Zlín, made a wonderful pass against Pardubice and created several other chances with his perfect centres.
However, his defensive side is failing, and that is rather bad news considering that Ivi Lopez would be playing him. That’s also why in Poland, when Oscar was injured, Plavsic was preferred at left back, although ironically he was also involved in the goal he scored afterwards.
Even at the weekend after the match with Pardubice, Trpišovský said that Jurásek is a superior player in the offensive department, but he has gaps in defending, which is why he sometimes does not appear in the starting lineup. So it seemed that he won’t be in it on Thursday either.
But at the pre-game press conference he spoke a little differently.
“David Jurasek has the potential to be in the starting lineup on Thursday. We need to attack, have dangerous situations, that’s what David’s game offers us. But we still have to take into account the qualities of López and other Raków players,” Trpišovský weighed all the options.
The stopper pairing may also change. The Santos – Ousou duo have not yet fully convinced, and a little more was probably expected from Brazilian Eduardo. That’s why Trpišovský and his colleagues are considering pulling captain Tomáš Holeš down the ranks.
“We are considering moving Tomáš Holeš to fullback, he is our leader on the pitch, the games we have played like this have worked for us in Europe. Eduardo Santos is also ready for the match, Peter Olayinka has longer-term problems,” reflects the coach of Slavia.
