Jos Verstappen on his son: this is his strength. Why is the reigning champion not making mistakes and still dominating?

Max Verstappen is currently dominating Formula 1. That’s a fact that no one can deny. However, everyone perceives his dominance differently, be it the fans or the drivers and teams themselves. In any case, what does former F1 driver Jos Verstappen think of his son, or rather, what is Max’s strongest point?

Unstoppable. That could easily be one of Max Verstappen’s nicknames. The reigning Formula One World Champion has completely dominated Formula One, having dominated nine of the past eleven races.

He’s on course to win his third championship in a row. With 281 points, he is safely in first place in the Drivers’ Championship, 110 points ahead of second-placed Sergio Pérez.

It should be noted that Verstappen himself has more points than the second team in the Constructors’ Cup standings, Mercedes (223 points).

With 452 points, Red Bull completely dominates the entire Formula 1 and although the competition is trying to catch up, so far all efforts have proved futile.

McLaren may also try to break the routine of the Austrian team’s constant wins, as it has now increased its lap time by more than one second thanks to recent upgrades.

In any case, where does the Dutch driver’s greatest strength lie? That’s the question his father Jos answered in a recent episode of the F1 Nation podcast.

This is his strength…

“He doesn’t want to know anything about F1 during the week. But when the race weekend comes, he feels it in body and soul. And I think that’s exactly how it suits him. When he’s at the races, he’s fully focused. But once he’s done, he’s done. That’s his strength,” Jos Verstappen said of his son on the F1 Nation podcast.

“From my point of view, Max hasn’t changed. He loves it (F1) and he’s still very easy-going. The team has built a fantastic car and he puts the effort into it and it shows, and that’s good to see,” he added.
