Nuggets regain the series lead over the Heat

The NBA Finals series between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat has now gone three games. In the first game Denver confirmed its role as the favorite, but in the second game Miami managed to surprise.

After two games in Denver, the series moved to Miami, where the visitors returned the Heat’s previous home defeat. The Nuggets won 109:94 and regained the series lead.

The first quarter of the third game ended amicably 24:24, but the Nuggets managed to rebound at the beginning of the second part. The Nuggets held a five-point lead going into halftime.

The five-point lead was enough for Denver, as it did not let the Heat do anything and gradually increased its lead. Nuggets players won the third quarter with a 29:20 score and completed their mission in the last part. In the end, they won by 15 points over Miami.

Jokic and Murray set a new NBA Finals record

The most points in the final game this time were not scored by Nikola Jokic, but by his teammate Jamal Murray, who scored 34 points. The Canadian basketball player added 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

However, the Serbian center did not stay behind his teammate. Jokic scored 32 points to which he added an incredible 21 rebounds and 10 assists. It was the 10th triple-double for the Nuggets star in this year’s playoffs.

Murray, along with Jokic, set a new NBA Finals record with these great individual performances, the first time that two players from the same team have recorded a triple double with more than 30 points.

Miami’s top players included Jimmy Butler with 28 points, two rebounds and four assists, and Bam Adebayo, who scored 22 points, 17 rebounds and three assists.

The Miami Heat will get a chance to even the Finals series on Saturday night, June 10 at 2:30. They will play on their home floor again, then the Finals will move to Denver.
