Jiri Procházka? I’ll take him apart, I swear! Let’s get things moving, says challenger Rakic
Jiri Prochazka is close to a title fight, he was even supposed to be the understudy for the Blachowicz vs. Teixeira fight, but now his dream fight is far from him. Before the title fight, he is scheduled to face Aleksandar Rakic.
Jiri Prochazka is close to a title fight, he was even supposed to be the understudy for the Blachowicz vs. Teixeira fight, but now his dream fight is far from him. Before the title fight, he is scheduled to face Aleksandar Rakic.
Jiri Prochazka has been pushed for a title fight in recent weeks, his opponent was supposed to come from the Jan Blachowicz – Glover Teixeira pairing.
However, he should now have one more opponent before he fights for the title. That would be Aleksandar Rakic, who is one place behind Prochazka.
“I believe I can beat Glover so I can defend my championship again and maybe later they will give me Prochazka. However, I think he should fight Rakic first so we can see who is actually better,” said Blachowicz.
So Rakic immediately reacted and voiced his approval of the Polish champion. This is despite the fact that he has refused to fight Prochazka in the past.
“I agree with the champion Blachowicz. His time will also come, but first I will analyse Prochazka. I swear. Let’s not let the semi heavyweight division stand still and get things moving,” he posted on Twitter.
So it’s very likely that it’s Rakic who Prochazka will have to beat before his dream title fight.
