Two UFC fights, two wins, two performance of the night bonuses, two unique knockouts. Jiri Prochazka simply flew among the world’s top fighters and secured a great reputation. But that could be improved now. He has been nominated for two prestigious awards!
Fighters Only, one of the biggest combat sports websites, is organizing the 13th World MMA Awards.
Fans can vote in up to 22 categories. Naturally, there are awards for the best fighters, fighters, knockouts and submissions. However, you can also vote for the best promoter, the so-called “ring girl” or the best organization.
Awards will also be given to the media. You can vote for the best media site dedicated to MMA. In short, a variety of voting options.
It’s even more valuable that Jiri Prochazka is in the nominations twice. Surprisingly, he did not appear in the nomination for the best knockout of 2021.
But in what areas has he been nominated? First of all, his fight with Dominick Reyes was among the five from which the best fight of the year will be chosen.
Beyond that, he was nominated among fighters who had a breakthrough year. Along with him, Khamzat Chimaev, Brandon Moreno, Yaroslav Amosov and Kevin Holland will be up for this award.
The competition is great, so it won’t be easy for Prochazka. Still, he managed to get nominated and that alone is a great achievement.
