An avalanche that can’t be stopped. This is the headline with which the UFC promotes its welterweight title challenger, Jiri Prochazka, a native of Hostěradice. He will attempt to steal the belt held by UFC veteran Glover Teixeira, a 42-year-old Brazilian, on Sunday morning at the UFC 275 gala.

Jirka Prochazka is wowing the martial arts world. Fans all over the world, as well as UFC fighter experts, love not only his fighting skills, but above all his pure personality based on the traditions of fighting spirit modeled after the Eastern samurai.

The fact that the tournament takes place in Singapore only supports Jiri’s concept of martial arts as such and adds the right Asian spice to the duel. Whatever the outcome of the title fight on Sunday, the Czech Republic will go down in MMA history in bold letters.

“Twelve wins in a row, 25 knockouts,” begins the promo video on the UFC’s YouTube channel. “This guy is a real fighter and one of the hottest irons in the fire of the welterweight division,” continues the praise of the Czech samurai ahead of the title fight.

“I adore his mind, his words, his mental setup for this sport,” comes from the mouth of the UFC legend. “It’s a scary presence for the entire division coming from the Czech Republic,” the voice from the video raises a finger at the other fighters in the welterweight division.

“I want to share the beauty of martial arts with the world,” Procházka says in the video. “For me, it’s a journey, no hate, no emotion, just the art of fighting, ” he says, astonishing the martial world with his raw take on fighting.

“You have to be as light as water, as light as the wind, ” the Moravian fighter proclaims. “I am a fighter 24 hours a day, seven days a week, my whole life is about fighting, in it I am invisible, nothing can hit me,” he adds confidently.
