Thelast days of the January transfer window were quite hectic and everything revolved primarily around Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández. We also didn’t miss the interesting transfer of Cancela or the transfer of Jorginho. But what other interesting names have remained slightly in the background of these events?

Keylor Navas – Nottingham Forrest

The three-time Champions League winner moves to England on a six-month loan from PSG. The newcomer to the Premier League saw their number one goalkeeper Dean Henderson injured for an extended period of time and the club had to react quickly. Nottingham, who will be fighting to stay in the competition, have secured more than a quality replacement.

Felipe – Nottingham Forrest

The Brazilian defender arrives in England for the sum of £2 million and has signed for a year and a half. Felipe is an experienced footballer who has spent the last four years at Atlético Madrid. So Nottingham will not be idle in the winter after a torrid summer. In their case, it is also a reaction to the club’s large squad.

Marcel Sabitzer – Manchester United

The 28-year-old Austrian midfielder arrives on loan until the end of the season. United are making this transfer in response to a serious injury to midfielder Christian Eriksen, who will miss around three months.

Sabitzer has spent the last year and a half at Bayern Munich, where he won the league title, but has never settled permanently in the Bavarian side’s packed squad.

Pedro Porro – Tottenham Hotspur

It was a complicated process, but the Roosters did manage to complete the transfer of the 23-year-old right-back, for whom they sent £45m to Portugal. Spurs later agreed to terminate the contract of Matt Doherty, who will leave for Atlético Madrid on a free transfer.

Illya Zabaranyi – Bournemouth

Another club fighting for salvation has been busy in recent days too. Zabaranyi is a 20-year-old Ukrainian defender who comes to England from Dynamo Kiev for £24 million. He played three years in the first team in his previous stint, during which he managed almost 90 games.

Hahmed Junior Traore – Bournemouth

The club’s management first tried to acquire Italian midfielder Nicola Zaniola. This transfer saga offered a rather ridiculous situation full of disagreements and late decisions. As a result, Bournemouth decided to take a different route.

From Sassuolo comes a talented 22-year-old midfielder on loan with an option for a permanent transfer.

Weston McKennie – Leeds

The American midfielder has decided to leave the sinking ship called Juventus Turin. The 24-year-old has signed on loan until the end of the season for the time being. Leeds have the option to exercise the £33m option at the end of it.

Anthony Gordon – Newcastle

Speaking of sinking ships, another one of them has been abandoned by Anthony Gordon. He’s been acquired by Newcastle from Everton for £45m. There has been a lot of speculation about the qualities of this footballer and we will only find out if he is another overpriced English product in time.

What is certain is that he certainly has more chances to show his qualities in a well-playing Newcastle than in his former position.

Pablo Sarabia – Wolves

Sarabia has had a relatively successful loan spell at Sporting Lisbon. However, in a packed PSG first team in competition with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe, he hasn’t had a chance for more sustained success. This leaves Wolves with an interesting signing for a relatively low fee of around £4 million.

Danilo – Nottingham Forrest

The 21-year-old has already managed to play over 120 games in Brazil and was part of the Brazilian league’s best eleven of the year. Danilo’s transfer cost around £20 million. He has signed for the club for another six years.
