James Rodriguez etched himself in the memory of most football fans at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where he dragged the Colombia team thanks to his fabulous performances.
After the championship, he moved from Monaco to Real Madrid. He certainly has fond memories of his years at Real. Before moving to Bayern Munich, he played over 70 games there, winning La Liga and the Champions League twice.
In Germany, he won the Bundesliga and the Cup twice. After two seasons at Munich, he returned to the Santiago Bernabéu, but made minimal appearances. A move to Everton was supposed to be his salvation.
The match workload went up, but injuries interrupted his career. So he apparently opted for safety in the form of Qatar’s Al-Rayyan, who have two league draws under their belt.
