Jake Paul has spoken several times in the past about not being an enemy of wrestlers, quite the opposite. He’s trying to improve their conditions and now he wants to put those words into tangible form. He would like to form a fighters’ union to protect their rights.
Jake Paul is not a very popular fighter in the world of combat sports. He bothers many fans and fighters, but he claims he is not their enemy.
As part of his feud with Dana White, he tried to improve the conditions of MMA fighters in the UFC organization, as the fighters are not even provided with health insurance.
Now Paul is trying to take the next big step. He would like to start a fighters’ union that would focus on their rights and conditions.
“This is an opportunity to really make an impact on combat sports. Not just MMA, but maybe boxing as well. I want to leave an everlasting mark by starting a fighters’ union!” paul told ESPN.
In fact, White said he is only using his fighters, which was basically confirmed by Francis Ngannou, who defended his title but still plans to quit the organization.
“They can’t even express themselves freely, but I can. I’m not beholden to him for anything, so I would be the ideal conduit for their communication,” he said.
