Jake Paul challenged Dana White to a spectacular bet! What did the staredown with the legendary Anderson Silva look like?
Yesterday was the first staredown before the next boxing match, in which Jake Paul will face Brazilian UFC legend Anderson Silva on October 29. But it wouldn’t be a young YouTuber that didn’t rub shoulders with UFC boss Dana White.
Yesterday was the first staredown before the next boxing match, in which Jake Paul will face Brazilian UFC legend Anderson Silva on October 29. But it wouldn’t be a young YouTuber that didn’t rub shoulders with UFC boss Dana White.
The Paul vs. Silva boxing match has had its first staredown
The younger of the Paul brothers, Jake, has announced his sixth boxing match, which will take place at the end of October. The undefeated youngster faces a real challenge in the ring this time around, although again he is not a pure boxer either.
For his opponent will be UFC legend Brazilian Anderson Silva. He is one of the elite in the history of the biggest MMA league in the world and represents, even at the age of 47, a huge chance to finally earn the respect of the fighting world.
This may be the case because, unlike Paul’s previous opponents who specialized primarily in ground fighting, Silva is a pure stand-up fighter. Moreover, he has already had two boxing bouts where he was able to defeat former world title holder Cesar Chavez Jr.
The fight in Phoenix, USA is scheduled for eight rounds and the contracted weight is up to 84kg. So Paul finally faces an opponent who has no height or weight disadvantage. Aside from the age difference, we get a fight that will show where Paul really stands in terms of fighting ability.
Yesterday was the first staredown of both fighters and the subsequent press conference. Anyone expecting the younger YouTuber to traditionally make a splash against his opponent will be disappointed. After all, Paul treated the MMA legend with uncharacteristic respect.
The youtuber showed respect to Silva, challenging Dana White with a bet
“I know I have someone in front of me who just beat a former world boxing champion,” Paul recalled his Silva’s great feat , according to MMA Junkie .
But what he didn’t disappoint in was the traditional words directed at UFC boss Dan White. “Nobody thought I would be in this fight, not even Dana White,” Paul told the press conference.
“He didn’t think I would accept this fight and Dana, I know you’re watching, bro, you still owe me a million dollars when you bet against me on Ben Askren,” he sent a message to the promoter of the biggest MMA organization in the world.
“I want you to come out of hiding and stop being a bitch, let’s bet again,” he urged him. “A million, two, five, but this time you’ll pay, ” he offered. “I’ll bet you won’t because you’re a s**t,” he added in his provocative way.
