Viktor Pest will face Stephan Pütz, who has fought 24 fights and lost only four in his professional career, for the title at Octagon 28. What has Pešta said about his opponent?
The Oktagon 28 tournament will be really busy. The likes of Leo Brichta, Petr Knize, David Hosek, Marcin Naruszczka and Andrey Kalashnik will be on show.
But the match of the night will be the fight between Viktor Peshta and Stephan Pütz, who will fight for the welterweight title.
Pesta is the favourite for this battle, the bookmakers have written him odds of around 1.5. How does the Czech fighter feel before the fight?
“I feel absolutely great, definitely in my best shape. So it’s now or never. Just if it doesn’t work out now, I have no excuse because I’m really in the best shape I’ve ever been in,” Pesta told iSport.
How has he read his opponent? “He claims to be a cardio machine, a Terminator or I don’t know… He just prides himself on his physicality. I think he’ll want to beat me with the pace and urgency in the later rounds. He’s just going to want to wear me down,” he added.
When can we look forward to this interesting fight? The tournament starts at 6 pm, but we can expect the fight between Peshta and Pütz to be on the schedule at 11 pm at the earliest.
