Michal Kadlec and coach Martin Svedik answered the journalists at the press conference before the return duel with Lokomotiv Plovdiv. The first to speak was an experienced back.
“From our side, the match must have more juice. Last time it was quite nervous from our side. We need to have more offensive actions. We are losing. But we’re playing at home and we want to win in front of our own crowd,” the former Leverkusen and Sparta back let himself be heard.
Any victory will send Slovácko to at least extra time, and there could be a penalty shootout. Kadlec admitted, however, that the Moravian team’s players have practiced penalties.
Slovácko surpassed one milestone over the weekend and will now look to surpass another. It won in Liberec for the first time in its history and now wants to qualify for the European Conference League for the first time.
” We will have to conquer the opponent’s defence, be active from the start and score as quickly as possible.”
“In the first game our psyche tied our legs. We weren’t accurate, we lost a lot of balls and the opponent went on breaks. We want to avoid that. Theopponent has the advantage of scoring a goal, but the chances are open,” Svedik concluded his comments at the press conference.
