It’s done, Tchouaméni becomes a Real Madrid player! PSG offered more, but he only wanted to join Los Blancos
Real Madrid is thinking about the future. He has just bought the Monaco superstar, who is expected to lead the Los Blancos roster in the future, for a huge sum. For Aurélien Tchouaméni, he will send over 100 million euros to France.
Real Madrid is thinking about the future. He has just bought the Monaco superstar, who is expected to lead the Los Blancos roster in the future, for a huge sum. For Aurélien Tchouaméni, he will send over 100 million euros to France.
The long negotiations are over, the decision has been made. Aurélien Tchouaméni officially becomes a Real Madrid player, while he had several interested parties.
PSG was very interested in the French international, the new “sporting director” Kylian Mbappé was supposed to be in favour of him. He tried to persuade his teammate to move to Paris at the national team meeting, but failed.
At the same time, the Parisians offered the highest amount, both to Monaco and to the player on the payroll. And at the same time, an almost certain place in the starting line-up. However, Tchouaméni was reportedly literally obsessed with Real Madrid and there was no other option for him but to leave for the Champions League winners. This is despite the fact that he will probably start on the bench, as Ancelotti is relying on a midfield line-up of Casemiro – Kroos – Modric.
Liverpool were also very interested in the 22-year-old midfielder, with Jürgen Klopp personally trying to persuade him. However, Tchouaméni thankfully declined and is heading to Madrid.
He signed a 6-year contract at the Santiago Bernabéu, so it’s a solid investment for the future. Not to be, when they will pay 80 million euros + bonuses for the player, which could make the final amount slightly above 100 million euros.
The official announcement from the club should come on Wednesday, after they announce the contract extension with Luka Modric. The presentation is scheduled for tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabéu.
