It’s a deal! Teixeira has accepted a rematch with Prochazka, who has set the date and venue
Jiri Prochazka wants to defend the UFC championship belt at the end of this year, but it is still not officially announced who it will be with and when. But now we’ve moved on a bit and if everything is approved by the organization, we’ll see Prochazka in December.
Jiri Prochazka wants to defend the UFC championship belt at the end of this year, but it is still not officially announced who it will be with and when. But now we’ve moved on a bit and if everything is approved by the organization, we’ll see Prochazka in December.
When Jiri Prochazka announced that he would like to fight Glover Teixeira again, Jan Blachowicz was not happy. He believed that he would be the next challenger.
So he leaned on Procházka, saying that he was not a true samurai, since he didn’t choose the biggest challenge, as he had previously described it. The Czech wrestler responded by promising him no fight.
He then tagged Teixeira and reminded him that he still hasn’t answered his challenge. However, that has changed. “I’ve worked on this before. In the words of Khabib Nurmagomedov – send me the location,” he told him.
So it’s almost certain that we’ll see this fight. But the question was what date, as Prochazka would like to fight before the end of the year, but Teixeira needs more time to recover.
“UFC 282. 10.12. Las Vegas,” Procházka sent him the date and location. So now it’s up to the organization itself to decide if such a fight would be a good fit for this tournament.
But it will definitely be widely watched and fans will have a lot to look forward to.
