It’s a deal! Rakic nods to Procházka’s deadline and nothing prevents their fight in mid-February

It’s been almost a full month since the loss to Alex Pereira. So once again, it’s proven that in the world of mixed martial arts, a single moment can turn things around. It only takes one careless mistake to decide the winner and the loser.

Unfortunately, this was the situation that befell Procházka. He got too carried away and stepped into the trap his opponent had set. The debate was heated as to whether or not the match was prematurely ended.

After the fight, the samurai himself claimed that it was not, but later admitted that the decision was hasty and refused to criticize the referee or look for excuses. Walk immediately began actively preparing for his next fight and also tried to arrange a bout with Khamzat Khimaev via social media.

He speculated about changing weight classes for just one fight, but on Thursday he got an interesting challenge that might not require a move to a different weight division. Plus, from a man he has an outstanding feud with. Aleksandar Rakic offered him an inconvenient date, but Prochazka countered.

Rakic agreed to the offered date

“I’m all for it, but the earliest I can be in the octagon is February or March. Do you accept?” he tweeted. He had to wait a while for a response, but Rakic agreed and the fight seems to lack only formalities.

“Yes, we will do it on February 17 in Anaheim,” he replied, tagging Dana White and Mick Maynard. So the fight is a done deal, and if the UFC representatives don’t object, we’ll see Walk in action in February as he wanted.

Rakic originally offered a January date, but that wasn’t realistic. Prochazka needs to have preparation and definitely not rush anything. Even this date is not quite ideal, but he wanted it himself, so let’s believe he knows what he is doing.
