Italy will not play the World Cup! North Macedonia scored a goal late in the game and can look forward to Portugal

Well, this is a big surprise. Italy hosted North Macedonia in the semi-finals of the World Cup barrage and as the summer winner of the Euros, they were the clear favourites. But they didn’t score a goal, unlike their opponents, who scored in stoppage time.

There is a huge euphoria in North Macedonia. The country’s football team beat the reigning European champion Italy in the semi-finals of the barrage.

There was no question of pre-match predictions, the odds on Italy were 1.2 and few believed that the final and the whole World Cup would have to do without it.

At the same time, the Italian players had the pressure, but failed to get the ball behind the Macedonian goalkeeper’s back out of 32 shots. However, only five of them went between the three posts.

The match was heading for extra time, but the scoreless situation lasted only until the 92nd minute, when Aleksandar Trajkovski fired from a difficult situation behind the big whitewash and hit the left post.

Donnarumma failed to clear the ball and everyone, including the implementation team, ran to the lucky hero who guaranteed them the final.

North Macedonia is now just one game away from participating in the World Cup. Her opponents will be Portugal, who won 3-1 against Turkey.
