Immediately after Lionel Messi’s transfer to PSG, the media and Catalan fans began discussing who would take over the legendary number 10 jersey from Messi. Now all the speculation should be over.

According to the Spanish media, the new holder of the legendary number 10 should be Philippe Coutinho, who has been offered the opportunity by the club. In addition, Rey Manaj has taken over his current number 14 from Coutinho.

For Barcelona fans, the number 10 jersey means a lot. After all, for thirteen whole years it has been associated with the club’s greatest legend Lionel Messi. However, after his departure to PSG, it is Coutinho who is to take over this number.

Interestingly, Coutinho has already conceded once with the choice of the number, when his former jersey with the number 7 was given to the then new Barcelona signing Antoine Griezmann. So it seems his good deed is now paying off.
