Twenty-seven-year-old Slovácko striker Václav Jureček was slightly dampened by gunpowder in the spring, yet he was called up to the senior national team, where he can make his debut against Wales.

Slovácko’s quality performances were not overlooked this time. Václav Jurečka, a 27-year-old candidate for the league’s top scorer, has a chance to make his debut in a national jersey.

The Czech national football team has dropped out of the World Cup qualification barrier and will play a friendly match on Tuesday on the soil of Wales, who are still in contention.

“I’m glad I could be part of it, unfortunately we didn’t manage to win and advance, but the experience itself is good,” Jurecka said in an interview with Repre fotball.

He then spoke about how he was received by the cabin. “Beginnings are never very easy because you enter an environment where you don’t really know anyone.

We know each other from the pitch, but we don’t know each other personally. But the group here is great, the guys have accepted me very well, it’s clicked and I feel good. We’ll see how we do in Wales,” he added.

It can be expected that the line-up against Wales will be considerably changed. When else to test the players ahead of an exciting Nations League in which the Czechs face Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

We can expect to see Jindřich Stanek, Tomáš Petrášek, Ladislav Krejčí, Ondřej Lingr and Jurečka in the line-up.
