Patrik Schick was instrumental in Leverkusen’s 4-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach. And how do you think he celebrated? A new season and the first goal in the Bundesliga is a special moment after all. The Czech forward showed his biceps again and might make it his iconic celebration.
His moment came in the 8th minute. The whole scoring action was started by the speedy Diaby, who crossed over his defender and then passed to Schick in the area in front of the big penalty area.
the 25-year-old striker then prepared the ball with his first touch with his powerful left foot and shot superbly past goalkeeper Sommer.
Patrik Schick then went on to celebrate in front of the celebrating fans and continued his legendary celebration from the Euros. Check out the legendary fighting stance and biceps display!
Will this gesture become Schick’s iconic celebration? Why not? It’s original, catchy and will stick in fans’ minds and subconscious.
If the Czech striker wants to pull off a big transfer, he clearly needs to keep his shooting form up, but if he celebrates a goal here and there in this way, it may benefit him mentally and marketing-wise.
Incidentally, this goal was Schick’s 20th in the German Bundesliga. It took the left-footed forward 53 games to score 20 goals. Transfermarkt currently values Schick at €28 million.
